Shri Baba Amarnath Yatra Has Crossed The Two Lakh Mark

Shri Baba Amarnath Yatra has crossed the two lakh mark, and the enthusiasm for the Yatra is increasing among the devotees: Amarnath Yatra 2022.

Shri Baba Amarnath Yatra has crossed the two lakh mark today. The enthusiasm for the pilgrimage is increasing among the devotees.

Every day thousands of pilgrims are reaching the base camp Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu.

So far, about 2.10 lakh pilgrims have visited Baba Barfani. The 20th batch of 4898 pilgrims from Yatri Niwas Bhagwati Nagar Jammu left for Pahalgam and Baltal.

The batch that was left included 3416 men, 1278 women, 30 children, and 174 sadhus.

2238 men, 669 women, 19 children, and 136 sadhus were included in the batch of 3062 pilgrims who left for the yatra via the Pahalgam route.

1178 men, 609 women, 11 children, and 38 sadhus were among the 1836 pilgrims who left for the Baltal route. Baba Amarnath Yatra started on 30th June.

This time there is a 43-day journey which will end on August 11, the day of Rakshabandhan.

The first batch for the journey had left for Pahalgam and Baltal from Yatri Niwas Bhagwati Nagar on June 29.

Those devotees who do not have advance registration are also reaching Jammu from every corner of the country for the Yatra and they are going on the Yatra after getting the current registration done.

On July 8, a cloudburst incident took place near the holy cave in which 15 devotees were killed.

Jammu-Srinagar highway opened, Amarnath pilgrims stopped at Ramban Chandrakot Yatra camp also left for Kashmir

The Jammu-Srinagar highway was closed for a few hours following a landslide triggered by rain.

After the rain stopped, the debris that fell on the highway has been removed and now vehicular movement is again going on smoothly on the Jammu-Srinagar highway.

DSP Headquarters Ramban Pradeep Kumar Sen, who is also Chandrakot Yatra Officer, said that Amarnath pilgrims were stopped at Ramban Yatri Niwas after the landslide.

They have also been shifted towards Srinagar as soon as the highway opens. The number of Amarnath pilgrims sent to Kashmir was close to 4500.
