SIA Revealed-Mehran & Majid’s Murder Was Target Killing

SIA revealed- Mehran & Majid’s murder was Target Killing and not the result of any gang war, TRF was involved.

The murder of two youths Mehran Ali Sheikh and Majid Ahmed Gojri in the summer capital last year was not the result of any gang war.

Both these killings were done by the terrorists of The Resistance Front TRF, a terrorist organization called the Hit Squad of Lashkar-e-Taiba.

The State Investigation Agency (SIA) itself has accepted this fact and has also filed a charge sheet against a juvenile involved in these murders in the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) Srinagar.

Both Majid Ahmed Gojri and Mehran Ali Sheikh were residents of Down Town.

Together with their friends, both of them had formed a gang named 16- Gujjar. This gang often released its videos on YouTube.

Along with this, another gang of youth called Ittihad Down Town was active in Down Town. The alleged enmity between the two is claimed.

Mehran Ali’s father was an officer in the police.

Mehran has murdered in June 2021 just a short distance from his home while Majid Ahmed was murdered on 23 October 2021 near the Madina complex in Batamaloo.

On Mehran’s murder, the then SSP Srinagar had claimed that it was not a terrorist but a result of a gang war. An attempt was also made to call the murder of Majid Gojri a gang war.

Though the TRF claimed responsibility for the killings, the police kept silent on the terror outfit’s claims. Initially, the police were investigating both these murders, but later the SIA took over the investigation.

The SIA had formed an investigation team headed by a DSP rank officer.

The investigation team found out that the terrorist named Mehran Shala along with his two other associates had committed these killings.

Among them is a minor and one Basit Rashid Dar, a resident of Redwani Kulgam in South Kashmir.

Police had killed Mehran Shala and Basit Dar along with another of their accomplices in an encounter in Srinagar in November 2021 while their minor accomplice was caught by the police after a few days with all the evidence.

After completing the investigation, the SIA has filed a charge sheet against the accused Kisher in JJB Srinagar under various sections of the murder, Arms Act, and Prevention of Unlawful Activities Act.

The SIA, in its charge sheet, has purportedly claimed that Mehran and Majid were killed by TRF terrorists with an intention to disturb the situation in the city and teach a lesson to the youth opposing separatist and terrorist elements.
