Sidhra Terrorist Encounter: Security forces killed 4 terrorists in the Sidhra area, terrorists came by truck.

An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in the Sidhra area of Jammu district on Wednesday morning. Information is being received that 4 terrorists were killed during this encounter.

There was no damage to security forces Currently waiting for confirmation. According to the information received, the truck in which the terrorists were traveling caught fire during the encounter.

ADGP Mukesh Singh said that four terrorists have been killed in an encounter in the Sidhra area of Jammu. Seven AK-47 rifles, three pistols, and other ammunition were seized.

The owner of the truck has yet to be identified, the truck was traveling from Jammu to Srinagar.

Based on intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists, a cordon and search operation was launched by a joint team of security forces in the Sidhra area, an official said.

He said that as the forces moved towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon the forces, following which retaliatory action ensued and the encounter started.

2 to 3 terrorists are believed to be trapped. The sound of the first explosion was heard at 7:34 in the morning. At the same time, there is information that the terrorists were riding in the truck.

IED Defused: Major terror plot foiled in Udhampur, police defuse 15 kg IED.

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday defused a 15 kg IED recovered from Udhampur district.

In fact, on December 26, the police foiled a major terrorist conspiracy by recovering 15 kg IED from Udhampur. After which the police defused the recovered IED.

A major terrorist plot was foiled by the recovery of a cylindrical shaped IED, 300-400 grams of RDX, seven cartridges of 7.62 mm, and five detonators in the Basantgarh area of Udhampur district on Monday, police said.

Meanwhile, officials informed that the recovered IED has been safely defused on Tuesday.

The suspect was taken into custody.

Let us tell you that the police had also recovered a coded sheet and a letter from the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) along with the IED.

The officer said that a suspect has been taken into custody. Also, a case has been registered at Basantgarh police station and further action is being taken.
