South Africa team will visit India to play 5 T20 matches after IPL. Even after IPL 2022, the audience will continue to get the dose of T20.

Immediately after this two-month-long tournament, the Indian team will play a series of 5 T20 matches with South Africa.

This series to be played in June will be for 10 days but in this, the Indian cricket team will play 5 T20 matches. After this, the Indian team will first tour Ireland and then England.

Talking about IPL 2022, it will be played from 26 March to 29 May in Mumbai and Pune.

In view of the situation of Covid 19, only 25 percent of the spectators will be able to enter all the matches played till April 15. The matches against South Africa will start only 10 days after the end of IPL.

The decision was taken after the Apex Council meeting of BCCI on Wednesday. The series against South Africa will be played from June 9 to June 19 in Cuttack, Visakhapatnam, Delhi, Rajkot, and Chennai.

Earlier these matches were to be held in Bangalore and Nagpur but later it was changed as both these venues were missed during the West Indies tour.

6 matches against West Indies were played in only two places, Ahmedabad and Kolkata. This was done to avoid excessive travel in view of Covid.

Let us tell you that before the T20 World Cup, the Indian team has a chance to improve their team. In this context, this series against South Africa is very important.

Apart from this, Rohit Sharma will have a chance to extend his winning record in T20.

India first defeated New Zealand and West Indies and later Sri Lanka 3-0 in the three-match T20I series. India will have a chance to continue this performance even further.
