Sporty bike maker Triumph has officially launched its two bikes Speed Twin 900 and Scrambler 900 models in India.
Both these bikes have come with a powerful engine of 900cc and their prices have also been kept the same.
For information, let us tell you that both these new models are a rebadged version of the Street Twin and Street Scrambler already in the market, in which some cosmetic updates have been brought.
Speed Twin 900 and Scrambler 900: Look.
In terms of look and design, many new features have been added to both bikes.
While the bikes get new badges, their underpinnings remain the same as that of the older model, which carried the earlier moniker.
However, the size and design of the wheels have been made quite different. The Speed Twin 900 bike gets a cast-alloy set-up with 100/90-18 wheels at the front and a 150/70-R17 unit at the rear.
Also, its weight is 216 kg. On this bike, you also see a comfortable seat of 765mm in height.
Talking about the Scrambler 900 bike, its weight is 223 kg and it has a slightly longer seat 790mm high.
While living up to its name, it gets a spoke rim with 100/90-19 wheels at the front and a 150/70-R17 unit at the rear.
Speed Twin 900 and Scrambler 900: Engine.
Triumph has powered both its bikes with a 900cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that is capable of generating 64hp of power and 80Nm of peak torque.
Both these forty-two also get 270-degree firing orders. However, if you look at the bike range, the Scrambler 900 delivers a bit more rev range due to its off-road nature.
Both the motorcycles are mated to a 5-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. Also, these bikes also get the same 12-liter fuel tank.
Safety Features.
For rider safety, Triumph has also kept the braking system similar to the Speed Twin 900 and Scrambler 900 models. In these, you get a single 310mm disc brake at the front with a four-piston Brembo caliper.
At the same time, a 255mm two-piston Nissin caliper disc brake has been added at the rear.
Price and Rival.
Triumph has made Speed Twin and Scrambler 900 available in three colors in India.
Talking about the price, the price of Speed Twin’s Jet Black color has been kept at Rs 9.45 lakh, Matt Ironstone and Matt Silver for Rs 8.48 lakh.
On the other hand, Scrambler 900 is priced at Rs. 9.45 Lakh for Jet Black, Rs. 9.58 Lakh for Matte Khaki, and Rs. 9.75 Lakh for Carnival Red paint scheme.
In India, these bikes will compete with bikes like Kawasaki Z900, BMW F 900 R, Ducati Scrambler 800, and Honda CB650R.
