Sri Lanka’s T20 World Cup Probable Squad Announced

Sri Lanka’s T20 World Cup probable squad announced these players got a place.

The Sri Lanka Cricket Board has released the list of probables for the ICC T20 World Cup to be held in Oman and UAE from next month.

Sri Lanka’s team, which has failed to make a straight place in the tournament, will have to win the qualifiers to seal a place in the main matches.

Dasun Shanaka has been named the captain of the team while Dhananjay de Silva has been made the vice-captain of the team.

The Sri Lankan team is currently going through a period of change. If the team is successful in making a place in the T20 World Cup, then the captaincy will be a matter of relief.

The captaincy of the team will be in the hands of Dasun Sanaka. Dhananjay de Silva will be seen carrying out this responsibility in his absence.

All eyes will be on the team’s star spinner Vanindu Hasaranga. He has grabbed everyone’s attention with his stellar performances in the last few months.

Apart from this, Akila Dhananjay, who is returning, will also be important in the spin episode.

Sri Lanka has been placed in Group A along with Netherlands, Ireland, and Namibia for the qualifiers. The team’s first match is against Namibia on 18 October.

A day after this, on October 20, Sri Lanka’s team will play the second match against Ireland.

In the last match group match, they will have to play against the Netherlands. This match is to be played on 22 October.
