Congress leader Siddaramaiah’s remarks on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh during a discussion on law and order in the state led to a heated debate in the Karnataka Assembly on Thursday.
After which the Speaker said that everyone (opposition) will take the name of the Sangh (RSS) in the coming days.
Struggle in Karnataka Assembly regarding RSS: Speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri said in the house, this is our RSS, my RSS, in the coming days you all will chant the name of the RSS.
BJP leader and minister KS Eshwarappa targeted Congress during the discussion and said that all Muslims and Christians will also chant the name of RSS in the future.
On this, Congress leader KJ George questioned the Vis President on his remark and said that who are you to say that Christians and Muslims will also take the name of the Sangh.
Criticizing the BJP for the remarks, Leader of Opposition Siddaramaiah slammed the BJP and said that they will never be a part of the RSS and will not take its name.
Congress leader Priyank Kharge launched a scathing attack alleging that the Sangh had burnt copies of the Constitution in the past at Ram Leela Maidan.
On this, the speaker criticized his statement and said that it is better if he does not speak on history.
