Sub-Inspector Along With Another Person Arrested For Robbery. Two arrested, including sub-inspector, for robbing 26.5 lakh rupees from one person in Karnataka. A case of robbery has come to light in Karnataka involving a policeman. The police sub-inspector here, along with another person, has robbed 26.5 lakh rupees.
It is being told that both of them claimed to be the reporters of a Kannada newspaper and robbed 26.5 lakh rupees from this person. Accused SI Jeevan Kumar Thomas and Gananprakash Anthonappa have been arrested. The incident took place on 19 August when Siva Kumaraswamy has robbed of Rs 26 lakh.
He said that when Kumaraswamy arrived near the Chikkapet metro station, three people in a car stopped him and kidnapped him. After this, his phone was snatched and switched off. After this, these people took Kumaraswamy to an isolated place and looted all their money from him. After this, these people left them, warning them not to make noise near the Lal Bagh Hotel.
Police have registered a case of kidnapping, illegal imprisonment, intimidation, robbery, and conspiracy, based on a complaint. Police said that the investigation revealed that Sub Inspector and his associates were involved in the case after which both were arrested.
Meanwhile, Farmers blocked the road at Belagavi airport to protest against the visit of Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa. Farmers are demanding compensation announced by the state government last year for their damaged crops during the floods.

During this, he had told that the first installment of Rs 1,049 crore has come in the farmers’ account in his account. Significantly, PM Narendra Modi on Sunday announced a special package of one lakh crore rupees for the farmers of the country.
