Successful Test Of The Anti-Radiation Missile ‘Rudram-1’

Successful test of the anti-radiation missile, ‘Rudram’ increases the strength of the Indian Air Force. India has made another quantum leap in missile technology. On Friday successfully test-fired the first indigenous anti-radiation missile ‘Rudram-1’.

With the addition of this missile, the strength of the Indian Air Force will increase further. The missile, developed by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), was test-fired from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Balasore, Odisha at 10.30 am on the fighter aircraft Sukhoi-30.

This missile was successful in completely destroying its target during testing. Its speed is two times faster than air. It varies according to the launch

Able to hit a distance. It is the first indigenous missile of its kind. Once fully developed, it can be fitted with Sukhoi-30 MKI as well as other fighter aircraft.

Officials said it has a passive homing head with INS-GPS navigation for the final attack (Rudram). The passive homing head can target and identify targets at different frequencies. This missile can capture and destroy any kind of signal and radiation of the enemy.

Recently Tested Missile

On October 5, the anti-submarine weapon system torpedo supersonic missile was successfully tested from Balasore, Odisha.

Supersonic Shaurya Missile was successfully test-fired at Baleshwar on 3 October. It is capable of hitting 700 kilometers.

A laser-guided anti-tank missile was successfully tested on 1 October. It was fired from the MBT Arjun tank in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra.

On 30 September, the cruise version of the supersonic missile BrahMos was successfully tested.

The air-to-air version of the supersonic BrahMos missile was tested last year. It was also fired from Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter aircraft.

Defense Minister congratulated

Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has tweeted and congratulated DRDO for the successful test of the missile. He said, ‘The New Generation Anti-Radiation Missile (Rudram-1) is the first indigenous anti-radiation missile developed by DRDO.

The missile designed for the Indian Air Force was successfully tested at ITR, Balasore. Congratulations to DRDO and other stakeholders for this achievement. ‘

A successful test of cruise missile BrahMos took place in Baleshwar a few days ago

A few days ago, with the efforts of the Baleshwar Defense Research and Development Organization and Russian scientists, the Tauyar ground-to-surface cruise missile BrahMos was tested.

The missile is 8.4 meters long and 0.6 meters wide and weighs 3000 kg. This missile has the capability to carry explosives up to 300 kg and warp from 300 km to 500 km.

It can be dropped from the airplane ground plane and mobile launcher. It can also be launched with submarine airplanes and ground-based mobile autonomous launchers.

Apart from this, in the month of December last year also, the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) successfully test-fired two BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles from Chandipur, Odisha.

These BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles were successfully launched from ground and air platforms.

Prithvi-2 missile was tested in the last month

Earlier last month, the indigenously-designed nuclear-powered Prithvi-2 missile (Prithvi-II missile) was also successfully tested.

The Prithvi-2 missile, which has a surface-to-surface range of 350 km, is capable of carrying 500 to 1000 kg of warheads.
