Successful Testing Of The Interceptor, BrahMos, HSTDV

Successful testing of the interceptor, BrahMos, and new Hypersonic Technology Demonstrator Vehicle greatly strengthened the country’s strategic front. India has successfully tested the indigenous Hypersonic Technology Demonstrator Vehicle (HSTDV).

India has become the fourth country to achieve such a feat after America, Russia, and China. The test is a major step forward to further the development of the hypersonic cruise missile system in the country. With the help of this technology, it is believed that in the next five years, India will build its first hypersonic missile. This missile operates at six times the speed of sound.

This hypersonic missile technology has been developed by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), which is based on hypersonic propulsion technology. It also has many other advantages. This allows smaller satellites to be launched at a lower cost.

However, India already has an advanced supersonic cruise missile-like BrahMos, whose second version has also been tested in the past. Actually, cruise missiles are called, which can fly fast at low altitudes and thus remain off the radar.

The specialty of Brahmos that India possesses is that it can be fired from land, by air, by submarine, by a warship, from anywhere. Not only this, in addition to the conventional launcher, this missile can also be fired from the upstream or vertical launcher. The target of cruise missiles is either fixed in advance or they are self-locating. These missiles can operate at subsonic, supersonic, and hypersonic speeds.

Different versions of the BrahMos missile have been made according to the needs of the three wings of the Indian Army, ie the Army, Air Force, and Navy. Its speed is 2.8 mac i.e. almost three times faster than the speed of sound. India also has several ballistic missiles.

These are released directly into the upper layer of the atmosphere. It can also be released from aircraft, ships, or submarines. India has a complete consignment of ballistic missiles like Agni, Prithvi, K-4,5,6, Surya, Sagarika, Prahar, Dhanush.

We also have an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) systems. ICBMs are missiles with a range of at least 5,500 km. They can carry nuclear bombs with them. Recently India also successfully tested an interceptor missile capable of intercepting ballistic missile attack.

Successful testing of the first interceptor missile then the supersonic missile-like BrahMos and the new hypersonic missile has greatly strengthened the country’s strategic system.
