Bollywood film director Vivek Agnihotri said that the film ‘The Kashmir Files’, based on the story of the pain of Kashmiri Pandits, will be released soon.
The shooting of the film has been completed. He was speaking to the media after the Hareth Milan program organized by All India Kashmiri Samaj to celebrate Shivaratri.
He was also present with the film heroine Pallavi Joshi. Vivek said that he has been in contact with Kashmiri Pandits for the last year and a half. During this time, the pain of his removal was revealed.
But he has felt this pain after coming to Jammu. We are making a film on the moments passed on the Kashmiri Pandits, which will be released soon. This film has been shot under the name ‘The Kashmir Files’.
Sufferings Of Kashmiri Pandits: The film will soon be seen on the big screen, he said, adding that Bollywood does not fully know the happenings with the Kashmiri Pandits.
More and more films should be made on Kashmiri Pandits so that Bollywood can become aware of the reality. At the same time, Vivek Agnihotri wished Kashmiri Pandits to return to the valley.
But said that this will happen only when the pain of Kashmiri Pandits becomes the pain of the people of the whole country. Pallavi said that she is fully feeling the pain of Kashmiri Pandits after coming to Jammu.
Earlier, in the Hareth Milan program, Kashmiri Pandit artists performed songs in praise of Shiva in the Kashmiri language, which was well received by the people.
Gulzar Ganai, Wahid Geelani, Kailash Mehra, Ravi Bhan, Deepali Watal, Ravi Bhan introduced devotional songs one by one and made the atmosphere lush.
Devotees also shouted the name of Lord Shiva and prayed for the peace of the world including Jammu and Kashmir. The program was launched by lighting the lamp and after that Saraswati Vandana was organized.
Padma Shri Dr. Kashi Nath Pandit was the chief guest at the program.
On this occasion, Dr. Kashinath Pandit said that the festival of Shivaratri has already started in the Kashmiri Pandit society. We wish all of us this Shiva night to bring happiness to everyone’s life.
Addressing Swami Kumar on the occasion, Shiva threw light on the importance of night in Kashmiri Pandits and informed about the steps which Kashmiri Pandit used to celebrate this festival in the old times.
All India Kashmiri society head RK Bhatt said that in the present times only brotherhood can strengthen the society.
At the same time, said that one day the Kashmiri Pandits will definitely return to the valley and celebrate the festival of Shivaratri there, they have such a wish.
Singers and Surendra Kaul, former DGP Kuldeep Khuddha, Swami Kumar, Uppal Kaul, Veena Pandita, TK Bhatt, Manoj Dhar, etc. were present on the occasion.
