Supreme Court Stays The Order Of The Tripura High Court

Supreme Court stays the order of the Tripura High Court and sought a response from the government regarding providing security to Mukesh Ambani.

Mukesh Ambani security issue: The Supreme Court stayed the order of the Tripura High Court, in which the answer was sought from the Center.

In Mumbai, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and his family were provided security cover against threats.

Public interest litigation hearing: The Tripura High Court heard a PIL.

The court said that the central government was directed to produce the original file kept with the Home Ministry regarding the apprehension and assessment of danger to the Ambani family on the basis of which they were granted protection.

High Court has no right to hear public interest litigation.

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, Justice Suryakant, and Justice J. B. Pardiwala’s Vacation Bench that the High Court has no right to hear the PIL.

The reason for this is that the Tripura government has nothing to do with the security provided by the Center to the Ambani family on the recommendation of the Maharashtra government.

The Solicitor General said he wants the appeal to be heard expeditiously as the High Court has directed the Home Ministry officials to appear before it on Tuesday with original documents regarding a possible threat to the Ambani family.

Interim orders were given by the High Court on 31 May and 21 June.

The Tripura High Court had passed two interim orders on May 31 and June 21 on a PIL filed by a person named Vikas Saha.

The court had directed the central government to produce the original file kept with the Home Ministry regarding the apprehension and assessment of the danger to Ambani, his wife, and children, on the basis of which they were granted protection.

Supreme Court: Hearing adjourned till July 13 on ‘Remove encroachment campaign’ in UP, Jamiat-Ulema-e-Hind had given a petition.

The Supreme Court on Wednesday adjourned the hearing on the petition of Jamiat-Ulema-e-Hind. The hearing will now be held on July 13.

The petition had sought directions from the Uttar Pradesh Authority so that the properties should not be demolished.

A vacation bench of Justices Surya Kant and JB Pradiwala on Wednesday adjourned the hearing on the matter.
