Surrender of 32 Naxalites including four reward carrying deadly Naxals, one arrested from Barsoor area: Chhattisgarh. At Barsur police station in Dantewada, the surrender of 32 Naxalites happen before SP Dr. Abhishek Pallava on Sunday.
All of them hail from villages like Bakeli, Matasi, Tumarigunda, Korcotti, Uddanar, etc. Four out of those who surrendered had a reward of Rs 1 lakh each. Apart from these, there are 28 other members.
The SP said that the names of dedicated Naxalites who Surrender are not being revealed due to their sensitive area. Cases have been registered in various sections including the Arts Act.
On this occasion, police officers also distributed sports materials to the youth. Apart from SP, ASP Uday Kiran (IPS), Rajendra Jaiswal.
SDOP Chandrakant Garwana and Commandant VP Singh of CRPF 195 Battalion, Saurabh Kumar, and Barsoor Police Station Incharge were present in the program.
A Naxalite arrested from the Barsoor area
On Sunday, the police arrested a Naxalite who came to put up banner-posters and Reiki of the force in the Munchanar area.
According to SP Dr. Abhishek Pallava, the arrest of Dhaniram Veko, a member of the Janamilisia village of Beda Hiroli. He has been in the Naxalite organization since 2015 and has been involved in many incidents.
Meanwhile, in Chhattisgarh, the Excise Department has issued a WhatsApp number for complaints of over-rating (sale at a higher price) in government liquor shops.
If liquor is being sold at a price higher than MRP anywhere in the state, then complaints can be made on WhatsApp number 9424102102.
Under this facility, liquor is not sold at a reasonable rate from liquor shops that customers can also make their complaints through video.
On receipt of the video, a complaint will be filed with the Excise Department in the name of the said number.
Action will be taken against the concerned by examining the video. Along with the action taken, the information will also be given on the mobile number of the complainant.
Officials said that the department would be able to take action on receiving the video through WhatsApp. Complaints can be made regarding illegal transportation of liquor, legal sale as well as other narcotics at this number.
The department already has a toll free number 14405.
Complaints on the number can be made by customers for free. In this financial year, 700 complaints have been received on the toll-free number. The Excise Department has investigated the proceedings.
