Taliban Wants To Address The World From UN Platform

Taliban wants to address the world from the UN platform, Suhail Shaheen pleaded.

Suhail Shaheen, the Taliban-designated envoy to the United Nations, has once again urged the organization to allow Afghanistan to be represented on the international stage.

According to Media, Shaheen urged that his envoy could not represent the country after the former government of Afghanistan fell.

In a tweet, Shaheen said, “The Kabul administration no longer exists, while the AIA (Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan), is the sole and real representative of the people of the country.”

Taliban wants to address the world: Appealed to the UN for the second time.

This is the second time the Taliban has urged to represent Afghanistan on an international forum.

Earlier, Suhail had criticized the decision to oust him from this year’s UN General Assembly, The Khama Press reported. He said that he had the right to participate in the United Nations.

He also said that the Taliban is getting the support of the people of Afghanistan and they (Taliban) have the ability to protect the people of the country.

So the United Nations should recognize the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

Despite the Taliban’s announcement of a general amnesty in Afghanistan, the country continues to see violence against minorities and people working for the democratically elected Afghan government.

Meanwhile, the Taliban is also looking for women journalists and activists in the country.

Furthermore, the international community has expressed that decisions regarding their relationship with the Taliban and their support for the group will depend on what it does, not what it says.
