Tejaswini put 229 miscreants behind bars in six months in Delhi.

Tejaswini (female policemen) posted in different areas of the northwest district is single-handedly controlling the miscreants.

The team of women policemen has caught 229 miscreants involved in various crimes in six months. This includes snatchers and vehicle thieves.

The team has also recovered five hundred bottles of illicit liquor.

While patrolling on a motorcycle, they are catching the snatchers on the spot, and are also taking action against those who smuggle liquor illegally.

North West District DCP Usha Rangnani said that at 6 pm on January 6, Head Constable Pooja Mukherjee was checking vehicles near the TPDDL office located in Nagar.

She was accompanied by constables Sumit and Sonu. When the scooty rider started running after taking a U-turn on seeing the police, then head constable Pooja followed him and caught him.

He was identified as Tarun alias Tunda of notorious thief Munshi Ram Colony.

The scooty found from him turned out to be stolen from Osmanpur. Another scooty and stolen goods were recovered from him.

Women liquor smugglers arrested:

Constable Bharti, Shakuntala, and Suman arrested three women Reshma, Krishna, and Sushila in the Keshavpuram area in connection with liquor smuggling.

The three women policemen in plain clothes mingled with the local people in such a way that no one suspected that they were policemen.

In such a situation, he got information about women liquor smugglers. After this, 156 bottles of liquor were recovered after forming a team and apprehending them.

In the Model Town area, constable Nandani caught the smuggler of illegal liquor from Moke and recovered a huge quantity of illegal liquor.

The accused has been involved in eight cases in the past. At the same time, constable Kavita posted in Bharat Nagar put a check on the illegal liquor business in Wazirpur JJ Colony.

Searched the minor in 48 hours:

Constable Monika, posted in Ashok Vihar, within 48 hours of registering the case, traced the minor girl from Chhatarpur in Madhya Pradesh and handed her over to her relatives.

The DCP said that in the month of July 2021, women policemen were given the responsibility of beat officers under the Tejashwi scheme in the district.

Since then, such women policemen are cracking down on the miscreants by performing better.
