Telangana Assembly Passed A Resolution To Award Bharat Ratna

Telangana Assembly passed a resolution to award Bharat Ratna to Narasimha Rao. The unanimously passed resolution states that the Telangana Legislative Assembly appeals to the Central Government to posthumously confer the Bharat Ratna on the occasion of Rao’s hundredth birth anniversary.

A resolution was passed in the Telangana Assembly on Tuesday urging the central government. In this proposal, former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao has been proposed to be given the Bharat Ratna, the country’s best civilian honor.

In this proposal, the late leader has been called the son of Telangana. At the same time, he has also been described as the first person to become Prime Minister from South India.

The resolution adopted also calls for the installation of his statue and portrait in the Parliament complex. Also, it has been said that the Central University in Hyderabad should be named after the late leader.

The unanimously passed resolution states that the Telangana Legislative Assembly appeals to the Central Government to posthumously confer the Bharat Ratna on the occasion of Rao’s hundredth birth anniversary.

Shortly before, the Telangana government has demanded to declare Bharat Ratna on Narasimha Rao’s birth anniversary. The proposal was moved by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao in the House.

He said that if the country’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru was declared the creator of modern India, Rao would be called the Maker of Global India.

Chief Minister Rao had said last Friday that in September the Assembly session had passed a resolution requesting the Center to confer Bharat Ratna on former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao.

Meanwhile in the neighboring state of TN

The monsoon session of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, which is going on between the corona epidemic, is scheduled to take place from September 14 to 16. All the legislators have been asked to get the coronavirus tested 24 hours before the commencement of the session.

This decision was taken by Chairman P Dhanapal at the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee. As a precaution, the assembly hall at Fort St. George cannot accommodate 235 members with physical distance, as the venue for the assembly has also been changed to the Kallivaran Arangam.
