Three soldiers were injured in this encounter that started on Wednesday. He has been admitted to Army’s 92 Base Hospital for treatment.

According to information received from police sources, on the evening of Republic Day on Wednesday, the security forces received information that some terrorists were hiding in the Check Nowgam area.

SOG jawans reached the spot along with a joint team of Army and CRPF and started searching for the terrorists.

Then the terrorists hiding in a house started firing on seeing the security forces coming near them.

In this attack, three army personnel Somvir Kumar, Mayank Singh, and Sunil Kumar were seriously injured. The injured jawans have been admitted to the Army’s 92 Base Hospital.

Seeing the night, the army made arrangements for illumination at the encounter site amid retaliation. Intermittent firing continued from both sides throughout the night.

All of a sudden this morning the firing process stopped. Continuing the operation, as soon as the security forces cordoned off the encounter site and started searching for the terrorists, no terrorist was found.

Police say that the terrorists escaped thereby taking advantage of the darkness of the night. It was feared that two to three terrorists were present there.
