Israel’s Security Cabinet voted for a cease-fire late Thursday. According to a statement from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office, the Security Cabinet unanimously agreed to end the war.

Earlier, a top Hamas commander had expected a cease-fire by Friday. A senior Hamas political official, Moses Abu Marjouk, told Lebanese TV, “I think the ongoing efforts to ceasefire will be successful.”

I hope a compromise can be reached for a cease-fire within a day or two by mutual agreement.

Since May 10, Israel has conducted hundreds of airstrikes in Gaza. Among them, targets including Hamal Tunnel Network are being targeted.
