However, the local MLA has ordered an inquiry into the matter. Along with this, instructions have also been given to the health officials regarding the proper treatment and arrangement of these children.

14 children suffering from fever and cold were undergoing treatment at Sagar in the Shivamogga district of Karnataka, but their condition worsened after receiving antibiotic injections.

Four of these children were shifted to the district hospital in Shivamogga on Monday as their condition was more critical.

Treatment of the children is going on and health officials are investigating the antibiotic drug, after which the condition of the children got worse.

On getting information about the matter, local BJP MLA Haratalu Halappa reached the spot and directed the health officials to investigate the matter.

Along with this, orders were also given for the proper treatment of these children.

MLA gave instructions.

The MLA said, ‘I immediately reached the hospital after knowing about the incident. He directed the health officials to immediately monitor the facilities of proper treatment being provided to the children.

At present, there is a possibility of allergy to the drug. As far as the medicine is concerned, we will investigate from where and by whom it was supplied.

He said, ‘I pray to God for the health of the children and have faith in our doctors that the children get well soon.’
