The Kashmir Files: Politics Over Movie ‘The Kashmir Files’

The Kashmir Files: Politics over ‘The Kashmir Files’, Twitter users furious over Congress facts on Kashmiri Pandits.

The issue of Kashmir Pandits is once again in the headlines on the pretext of the Bollywood film ‘The Kashmir Files’. Now, this matter is gaining political momentum.

With the mention of Article 370 in the film and the mention of Congress, its political spectrum has become bigger. There has been a debate on social media regarding this film.

The film ‘Kashmir Files’, based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits, is getting a great response at the box office. From social media to all the platforms, it is being discussed a lot.

The round of allegations and counter-allegations has started between Congress and the BJP regarding this film.

Kerala Congress has made several tweets regarding the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from Jammu and Kashmir. Congress has put some facts about the Kashmiri Pandit case.

Congress has targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) through this.

However, this move of the Congress on social media backfired when Twitter users started questioning the facts being given by Congress.

Attacking the BJP, the Kerala Congress said that Kashmiri Pandits left the Valley en masse and the governor at that time was Jagmohan, who was associated with the RSS.

The exodus began under the BJP-backed VP Singh government. The tweet said that the BJP-backed VP Singh government came to power in December 1989.

The exodus of Pandits began the following month in January 1990. The BJP did nothing and continued to support VP Singh till November 1990.

There has been a debate on social media about the facts put by the Kerala Congress regarding the Kashmiri Pandit issue. Congress wrote in a tweet that he was a terrorist who targeted Kashmiri Pandits.

In the 17 years between 1990 and 2007, 399 Kashmiri Pandits were killed in terrorist attacks. During the same period, the terrorists killed 15,000 Muslims.

Users gave answers.

Many Twitter users have fired sharp questions while replying to Congress’s tweet. A user named Pallavi CT has written that you are behaving as if Kashmir was a paradise before 1990.

Can you deny that Governor Jagmohan had been warning Rajiv Gandhi’s government of the mobilization of terrorists in Kashmir from the beginning of 1988?

Vijay told that Jagmohan had written to the central government that you and the people around you had neither the time nor the interest nor the vision to see these signs.

He further wrote that Jagmohan was so forthright that ignoring him was historically a crime.

Sumit Bhasin shared a picture of Yasin Malik with former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and wrote that Congress should give some clarification on this.

A user named Kumar4018 wrote that such things do not happen in a day. Rajiv Gandhi was the Prime Minister till mid-December 1989.

The Kashmir riots started in 1986. Then there was the government of Rajiv Gandhi.
