Officials said the flags of the five new temporary member countries will be installed at a special ceremony on Monday.

All of these will become temporary members for two years, with Estonia, Niger, St. Vincent, Grenadines, Tunisia, and Vietnam, as well as five permanent members China, France, Russia, Britain, and the United States.

India will get the chairmanship of Security Council for one month in August

India will be the President of the Security Council for one month in August this year. After this, in the year 2022, there will be the presidency for one month.

The flag hoisting tradition in the Security Council was started by Kazakhstan in the year 2018.

UNSC temporary member for the eighth time

India will become the temporary member of the UNSC for the eighth time and according to the information given by the UN, will also be the President of the Council for a month in August 2021.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs says that India will use this term to pursue the unfinished agenda of reform in the United Nations.
