There Will Be Cabinet Expansion In Karnataka

There will be cabinet expansion in Karnataka, after the assembly session. the central leadership will have an eye on both the government and the organization.

While discussions have started in the BJP regarding government formation in four states, in view of the upcoming assembly elections in Karnataka.

BJP’s only stronghold in the south, an informal exercise to tighten the government and organization has started.

A reshuffle and expansion in the Karnataka cabinet are possible anytime after the state assembly session, which will continue till March 30. While the term of the state president is also ending in five months.

It is said that a team from the Center is informally discussing every issue with some leaders there. Handling Karnataka has been a bit difficult for the BJP from the beginning.

In fact, the internal battle there has always been acrimonious. After former Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa, Basavaraj Bommai has handled the power properly.

Yeddyurappa also had no objection to Bommai and he is also trying to take everyone along.

He himself is also from the Lingayat community. In such a situation, he is being considered as a horse of a long race in Karnataka. But the bottom camps are not broken.

The central leadership wants Yeddyurappa’s people to be kept together and another local camp is against it. The era of rhetoric is not over yet.

According to sources, this is the reason why efforts are being made to make BR Patil Yatnal, who was a staunch opponent of Yeddyurappa at some level, to the Deputy Chief Minister.

Using Yeddyurappa in the upcoming elections on one hand and strengthening his opponents on the other cannot happen simultaneously.

So the round of discussion has started.

At present, four seats are vacant in the state cabinet, but with changes, it can also be increased. At the same time, there can also be thought about the state president.

However, it will be interesting to see whether he gets an extension of a few months in August or a new president is elected in view of the possible election around March next year.

The current president Naveen Katil is also considered to be from Yeddyurappa’s opposition camp.
