As the deployment of troops along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh continued, sources said the decision on the Line of Control (LoC) and the Western Front would not affect the northern border situation.

An official said, “Our anti-infiltration grid will remain strong. We will continue the anti-infiltration and counter-terrorism operations. All options will be open to reduce the danger.

According to officials, in the last few years, the anti-terror grid of the army on the LoC has been strengthened and the infiltration of terrorists through the LoC has become difficult.

“We will not bring any reduction in counter-terrorism and counter-infiltration operations in our efforts for peace and stability for the benefit of the region,” said an official.

He also said that the military forces will continue to get complete freedom regarding the campaign.

The officer said, ‘The Indian Army is committed to fighting terrorism. The act of terrorism will not be tolerated and any daring will be given a befitting reply. ‘

It is known that India and Pakistan have agreed to stop a long period of ceasefire violations on other border areas including the Line of Control (LoC).

After a long time, in the mutual talks of the Director-General of Military Operations (DGMO) of both countries, this agreement has been agreed to stop the ceasefire violations on the border.

In view of this, both India and Pakistan issued a joint statement on Thursday, saying that they should strictly follow the ceasefire agreements.

The latest consent has come into force from midnight of 24-25 February. The United States has welcomed this joint statement from both countries.
