Three people died due to drinking contaminated water in Raichur, Karnataka, CM ordered an investigation and compensation of Rs 5 lakh.

Three people died after drinking contaminated water in Karnataka’s Raichur district. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai ordered an inquiry on Monday.

He announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh each to the family of the deceased.

According to sources, many people, including children, have been admitted to the hospital after drinking contaminated water in Raichur.

The government has taken three deaths seriously.

Basavaraj Bommai said, “The government has taken seriously the three deaths due to drinking contaminated water in Raichur.”

“I have asked the Chief Engineer of Karnataka Water Supply and Sewerage Board to conduct a thorough investigation into the reasons.”

Some people are blaming the damaged pipeline due to rain. We are getting a technical report.

Strict action will be taken against the culprits.

Talking to reporters, Bommai said that the Deputy Commissioner of the district has been asked to get samples tested from all the wards of Raichur city and obtain certificates regarding the safety of drinking water. ”

A police inquiry will also be conducted in respect of any lapse of technical support officials by a team headed by DSP (Deputy Superintendent of Police) and action will be taken against the culprits,” he said.

Bommai also announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the family of each of the deceased under the CM Relief Fund.

The report sought on increasing cases of Covid.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has sought a report from the Principal Secretary, of the Health Department regarding the increasing cases of Covid-19.

Bommai said on Monday that he would initiate further action after going through the report. Let us tell you, that the number of corona cases in Karnataka has crossed the 300 mark in the last 24 hours.

301 new covid cases have been registered in the state. While Bengaluru alone recorded 291 cases. The total number of active cases in the state is 2,414.

Corona cases increasing continuously in Tamil Nadu, the health department is on high alert.

The Health Department of Tamil Nadu is on high alert regarding the rising number of Covid-19 cases in the state.

The officers have been instructed to pressurize for the protocol in all the districts.

State Health Minister MA Subramanian said that BA.4 and BA.5 sub-variants of Omicron variants of Covid have also been found in Tamil Nadu.

He said, ‘BA.4 was found in four samples, while BA.5 was found in eight samples. The affected people are fine and are being monitored.

Their contacts have been traced. They are being watched. The BA.4 and BA.5 Omicron sub-variants are increasing globally.
