Gujarat Titans faced Mumbai Indians in the 51st match of the 15th season of the Indian Premier League.
Gujarat captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and decided to bowl first at the Brawan Stadium in Mumbai. Mumbai scored 177 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs.
Gujarat needed 9 runs in the last over but Daniel Sams gave away just 3 runs and Mumbai won a thrilling 5 runs. This is Gujarat’s second consecutive defeat while Mumbai’s second win of the season.
Saha-Gill’s half-century was wasted.
Chasing the target of 178 runs from Mumbai, openers Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill started with a bang for Gujarat. The duo added 54 runs for the team in the power play.
In the 11th over, the team’s score reached 100 runs. In this partnership, both Saha and Shubman Gill also completed their fifty runs.
Saha completed his half-century off 34 balls with the help of 6 fours and 2 sixes. Gill completed the half-century off 33 balls, hitting as many sixes and fours.
Murugan Ashwin sent both the openers back and gave the team a chance to return. Shubman gave his catch to Kieron Pollard after scoring 52 off 36 balls.
At the same time, Daniel Sams caught the catch of Saha, who scored 55 off 40 balls. Sai Sudarshan got stronger when he returned after scoring 14 runs with a hit wicket off Pollard.
Captain Hardik Pandya came back running out on the score of 24 runs. Rahul Tewatia was also run out in the last over and the team had to face defeat.

Rohit scored 42 runs in 24 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes, while Ishan’s bat scored 19 runs in 12 balls.
After scoring 43 runs, Rohit returned lbw to Rashid Khan. Suryakumar Yadav was dismissed for 13 in Pradeep Sangwan, giving the team the second success.
Ishan Kishan made 45 off 29 balls and was caught by Rashid Khan in the over of Alzarri Joseph. Rashid Khan sent back Kieron Pollard for 4 runs
Tilak Verma returned after scoring 21 runs on Hardik Pandya’s throw. After this Daniel Samus lost his wicket without opening the account, of the delivery of Loki Ferguson.
