Tight security arrangements after the rumor of pasting threatening posters of terrorist organization Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen.
On Sunday, the police remained alert in various sensitive areas of the city due to the rumor of threatening posters in the name of terrorist organization Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen in different areas of the city on Saturday.
The police personnel was allowed to proceed only after checking the vehicles passing through the nakas.
Even though there may be confusion regarding the Amarnath Yatra, but vigilance has been increased in the city regarding this.
It is worth mentioning that on Saturday, there was a rumor that threatening posters were pasted in the name of terrorist organization Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen in the railway station, bus stand, etc.
Tight security arrangements: The police swung into action after the news in this regard appeared on the internet media.
Later, SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli issued a statement denying any such posters were pasted in the respective areas. The police are probing the matter as to who has spread the rumors.
Due to this, even on Sunday, an alert was seen in the railway station, bus stand, and other sensitive areas. Vigilance is being maintained in all sensitive areas of the city and night patrolling has also been increased.
Vehicles are also being checked at various points on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. Action will be taken against those spreading rumors about posters. Jammu Police is also taking the help of Cyber Cell in this matter.
The IP addresses of all those Internet media accounts are being obtained, which have done the work of spreading rumors. After this, action will also be taken against such people.

The RSpura police got a big breakthrough on Sunday when they arrested the vicious criminal Gokul and five youths with pistols, live cartridges, sharp weapons, and heroin.
The arrested accused had come to RSpura town to kill a member of the opposing faction. All the accused are committing crimes by going underground for the last few years.
