Training to start for Olympic style sports athletes and weightlifters. Tiptop Athletes to begin preparing at NIS Patiala from Monday.
Following a gap of two months, tip-top Indian athletes will begin training at the National Organization of Sports (NIS) here from Monday.
The declaration came after a web-based meeting between the NIS authorities and the athletes on Saturday evening.
Authorities have made a team under the chairmanship of senior official executive Col Raj Singh Bishnoi to actualize the standard working method (SOP).
Following the SOP, given by the Sports Authority of India (SAI), NIS has cordoned off the sports tracks, weightlifting lobby and players’ inns to keep the spectators and different guests under control.
Aside from the mentors, nobody will be permitted in the territory where the athletes will prepare. Furthermore, all the rules from the Central government and nearby experts on the coronavirus will be followed.
Sports exercises have been suspended since Spring because of them across the country lockdown. The first-class athletes who have been staying inside at the NIS grounds since Spring incorporate lance hurlers Neeraj Chopra and Shivpal Singh, runner Hima Das and weightlifters Mirabai Chanu and Sathish Sivalingam.
“Can hardly wait to return to full instructional meetings for the readiness of future universal rivalries,” National Games gold medallist Sivalingam told the media.
Shivpal, who alongside Chopra has equipped for the Olympics, stated, “I have been taking a shot at my center quality during the lockdown. In any case, I need to get to the field as quickly as time permits and begin preparing with the spear and get ready for the Olympics.”
Bishnoi said that all the safety measures had just been taken. “At first, we will begin with weightlifting and sports. Everybody has been advised about the SOP. The security of the players is of central significance,” Bishnoi said.
