Transit Camp Is Being Built In Baramulla For Kashmiri Pandits

Transit camp is being built in Baramulla for Kashmiri Pandits will cost Rs 40 crore: Kashmiri Pandits.

The Government of India is setting up transit camps for displaced Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley at a cost of Rs 40 crore.

Not only the central government but the people of Kashmir are also committed to the return of Pandits. They are eagerly awaited. The Kashmiri displaced are part of the overall culture of Kashmir.

The central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to their welfare.

Several concrete measures have been taken to ensure their rehabilitation so that they can live in peace and harmony in the Kashmir Valley.

Union AYUSH Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said this after laying the foundation stone of Transit Accommodation Camp at Khwajabagh Baramulla.

Rs 4032 lakh is being spent on the transit camp which can accommodate about 337 families. The cost of each flat is Rs 12 lakh. About 50 kanals of land have been acquired for this.

Describing the people of Kashmir as having a loving and friendly nature, the Union Minister said that the time has come when people of different religions live together in peace and prosperity.

He said that this is also the purpose of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative. Unity in diversity is building a strong nation.

The Union Minister was on a two-day visit to Baramulla district as part of the special public relations program of the Central Government.

Its objective was to listen to the development expectations and concerns of the people. Sonowal also met several delegations. People apprised him of their demands and grievances.

Delegations from several political parties also met with the minister. These included the up-gradation of infrastructure facilities in AYUSH institutions and the development of waterways.

The delegation of Panchayat Raj Institutions thanked them for the public relations campaign of the Central Government.

At the same time, the Union Minister also described the meeting with the people as beneficial. He said that the government has a dream to develop Jammu and Kashmir.

The objective of this program is to make people aware of the problems being faced at the grassroots level.

He assured that the problems raised by the people will be placed before the Central Government and the Lieutenant Governor so that they can be resolved.

He asked everyone to cooperate in the development of Jammu and Kashmir.

He said that various schemes of the Central Government have been started in Jammu and Kashmir. People are also getting their benefit.
