Tribal Clashes In Sudan: 31 killed, 39 injured in the tribal conflict in Sudan.

On Friday, 31 people were killed in a tribal conflict in the Blue Nile State of Sudan. The state government gave this information.

“Tribal clashes broke out in some towns in the region on Friday, in which 31 people were killed and 39 others were injured,” the state security committee said in a statement. While 16 shops were destroyed.

Suspects were arrested.

The committee said that the regular forces intervened and brought the situation under control. The force has also arrested some suspects.

According to the statement, the committee has decided to impose a curfew and ban unnecessary gatherings in Al-Damazine and Al-Russaires areas from 6 pm to 6 am.

A violent clash between Berti and Hausa tribes.

Local residents and eyewitnesses said violent clashes broke out between the Berti and Hausa tribes on Friday, in which firearms and white weapons were used.

The Blue Nile State is located in eastern Sudan on the border with Ethiopia.

The state houses the Roziers Dam, which holds the largest electricity-generating reservoir in Sudan on the Blue Nile River descending from the Ethiopian plateau.

The tribal conflict has resulted in widespread concerns that the already weak electricity supply will worsen the African country.
