Trump praised Shinzo Abe in a telephonic conversation, said – the ‘greatest’ prime minister in Japan’s history. US President Donald Trump praised Shinzo Abe as the ‘greatest’ prime minister in Japan’s history during a telephone conversation between the two leaders. Abe, 65, announced on Friday that he was stepping down from Afna due to ill health, ending his tenure as Japan’s longest-serving prime minister.

President Trump called Abe on Sunday night, during which the two leaders spoke at length and took a look at their relationship. Giving details about the call, the White House said the two leaders said their relationship was special, with the president calling Prime Minister Abe the greatest prime minister in Japan’s history.

This was the first phone call between the two leaders after Abe’s resignation announcement. According to the White House, ‘the President said that Prime Minister Abe did a wonderful job and that the relationship between the United States and Japan is better today than ever’. “The President said that he will undoubtedly continue to play a big role in the future of Japan and he looks forward to continuing the wonderful friendship in the years to come.”

Let us tell you that Abe, whose tenure was ending in September 2021. However, now when a new party leader is not elected and is not formally approved by the parliament, Abe will still remain the leader. On Saturday, Foreign Minister Mike Pompeo said the United States will remember Abe’s contribution to making the US-Japan relationship the strongest it has ever been.

Shinzo Abe, the longest-serving prime minister in Japan, has given the reason for his illness. He had already announced this. Now the second PM will be elected there. Actually, he suffers from ulcerative colitis. This disease is associated with inflammation in the intestines, which in English is called Inflammatory bowel disease symptoms.

Abe became Japan’s youngest Prime Minister in 2006 at the age of 52, but his first term ended abruptly after a year due to health. In December 2012, he returned to power. He is credited with Japan’s defense role and capability and its security alliances with the US.
