Two arrested for selling fake RTPCR test reports and Covid vaccination certificates in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad Police has arrested two people for making fake RT-PCR reports of covid and covid vaccine certificates.

The work of making fake reports and certificates was done in Malakpet and Humayunnagar police station areas of Hyderabad.

Deputy Police Commissioner Chakravarthy Gummi said that both the arrested men used to provide fake RTPCR test reports and vaccination certificates to people by taking money.

According to the police, one of the arrested accused, P Laxman, worked as a lab technician at the Diagnostic Centre.

A year ago it opened its diagnostic center at Aasman Ghat in Malakpet and signed a contract with MedicinesPathlabs India. Here he used to take samples of people and send them for investigation.

During the Corona epidemic, people used to give fake RT-PCR negative reports by taking more money. For a negative certificate, money ranging from Rs 2000 to Rs 3000 used to be taken.

Accused Laxman used to send dummy kits to the lab without taking samples from people’s noses and mouths, in which the report came negative.

With this, the certificate was found to be genuine but the report was fake. Hyderabad Police recovered 65 fake RTPCR certificates, 20 sample collection kits, and a mobile phone from Laxman.

The second accused, Tariq Habib, a resident of Asif Nagar, Hyderabad, obtained a diploma in Medical Lab Technology in the year 2018.

A year ago, he started his own diagnostic center in Muradnagar, Asifnagar, then tied up with many labs and used to test by bringing samples from there.

Now it has become necessary for people to show their vaccine certificate if they want to go out anywhere.

During this, Tariq Habib, in collaboration with a computer operator working in a government health center in Humayunnagar.

He used to make vaccination certificates for people without taking the vaccine to earn easy money and similarly used to make fake RT-PCR certificates.

For this, he used to charge a lot of rupees. Used to charge Rs 800 to Rs 1000 for a vaccine certificate.
