Two Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists were killed by security forces near Air Force Station Rangreth in Srinagar.
Once again, foiling a huge terrorist plot in Kashmir, security forces have killed two Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists near the technical area of Air Force Rangreth.
The operation of the security forces is still going on due to the apprehension of the presence of more terrorists in the area.
Although the security forces gave them a chance to surrender several times before taking action against the terrorists.
But when the terrorists continued the process of firing, the security forces in retaliation killed both of them. At present, the security forces are continuing the search operation in the area.
According to the information received from the police, a joint team of SOG, Army, and CRPF, swung into action near the technical area of the IAF Station located in the Rangreth area of Srinagar.
As soon as they reached the area, the security forces started searching for the terrorists.
As the security personnel reached near the place where the terrorists were hiding, they started firing on the security forces.
The security forces asked the hiding terrorists to surrender several times before retaliating. Every time the terrorists responded to the appeal of the army with bullets.
In response, when the security forces also opened fire targeting the terrorists, two terrorists were killed in no time.
According to locals, one of the two terrorists killed is said to be a local while the other is a Pakistani. However, no information has been given officially yet.
Sources say that the area where this encounter took place is adjacent to the technical area of the Indian Air Force Station.
It is feared that these terrorists were trying to carry out some incident here. In time, the security forces came to know about them and the terrorists were killed.
The army has launched a search operation here to check the presence of more terrorists in the area. This was the ninth encounter between security forces and terrorists in October.
