Two killed including LeT top commander Fayaz, rewarded 10 lakhs in Sopore encounter: Sopore encounter.

The security forces fighting the war against terrorism in Kashmir have got another big success.

Two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists have been killed in an ongoing encounter between security forces and terrorists in Sopore late on Thursday.

The terrorists killed include Fayaz Ahmed War alias Firdous War, the last terrorist of 10 lakh who attacked a police party in North Kashmir in June last.

Confirming the killing of the terrorists, IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that the security forces killed both of them early today.

After taking possession of the bodies of the terrorists and the weapons recovered from the encounter site, it has been announced to end the operation.

He also told that both the terrorists were given several opportunities to surrender during the encounter but they refused to lay down their arms.

According to the information received from the police, on the basis of information received from the sources late on Thursday night, the security forces started a search operation in Sopore.

As soon as the security forces started searching for the terrorists due to the possibility of hiding two terrorists in the Warpora area of ​​Sopore. The operation turned into an encounter.

When the exchange of fire was going on between the security forces and the terrorists, it was only then that the local people came to know that the terrorists trapped in the encounter are locals.

Among them is Fayaz Ahmed War, the top commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba.

The security forces asked both the terrorists to put down their arms and come out but they continued firing.

Meanwhile, the army called the families of both the terrorists to the encounter site and requested them to surrender several times, but both the terrorists responded with bullets every time.

When the security forces felt that the terrorists would not agree, then between one and a half to two in the morning, both the terrorists were killed one after the other.

You may be aware that in June last, three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists Khurshid Ahmad Mir, Mudassar Pandit, and Fayaz Ahmed War attacked a police gypsy in Sopore.

Two policemen Waseem Ahmed Butt and Shaukat Ahmed Parre were martyred in this attack. Two civilians were also killed in the attack.

The terrorists used steel bullets in the attack. The police had already identified these terrorists who were involved in the attack on the very first day.

The police were continuously raiding their hideouts to nab them. A reward of Rs 10 lakh each was also announced on these three.

Fayaz was the last terrorist involved in this attack, the first two terrorists were already killed in the encounter by the security forces.

Around 82 terrorists have been killed in Kashmir this year. Most of the terrorists killed so far were related to Lashkar-e-Taiba. Out of 82 terrorists, about 42 terrorists were from Lashkar.
