In order to control the growing cases of Covid-19 in Karnataka, drones will be used to free the prohibited areas as well as to deliver medicines and essential goods to the affected people.

Bengaluru Central MP PC Mohan and Garud Aerospace have started this initiative together. Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa himself on Friday started the prohibited area to be virus-free.

On this occasion, Yeddyurappa said, “Timely supply of emergency medicines and vaccines is important in this difficult time.

I am happy that for the first time in the country, drones are being used to supply medicines and through this, public places are being made virus-free.

Drones are capable of lifting 35 to 40 kg of luggage.

“I applaud Garud Aerospace and Mohan’s efforts,” he told reporters.

The Chief Minister said that drones capable of carrying 35 to 40 kilograms of goods should be used in the supply of medicines and essential goods besides sanitization.

More than 48 thousand new cases found, 217 died.

The situation is getting frightening due to the Covid-19 epidemic in Karnataka. Here, in the last twenty-four hours, more than 48 thousand new cases have been found and more than 200 people have died.

On Friday (April 30, 2021), the Health Department said that 48,296 new cases have been found in the state and 217 people have died. In the same time, 14,884 people have been discharged after treatment.

So far 15,23,142 people have been confirmed of infection in the state and 15523 people have lost their lives.

According to the department, a total of 11,24,909 people have been cured of the infection so far and the number of active cases is 3,82,690.

The health department said that the rate of infection in Karnataka is 25.44 percent. On Thursday, 35,024 cases were found in the state and 270 people died.
