Unknown assailants opened fire on Israel’s Independence Day, killing three and injuring four.

Three people were killed and four others were injured in an attack by two unidentified men on Thursday in the central Israeli city of Elad.

It is being told that the attackers armed with axes and guns started firing after reaching a local park, whereas in the second attacker attacked people with an axe.

Three people died on the spot in the attack.

It is also being told that while taking action, the police shot and killed one of the attackers. While one of the attackers managed to escape from the spot, the police are on the lookout for him.

The administration has appealed to the people of the area to stay in their homes. So that they can search for the accused who escaped through a car from the spot.

Talking to the media, a police spokesman said that a search operation is being conducted by putting up check posts on various roads of the city in search of the suspect.

Along with this, the absconding accused is also being searched through a helicopter.

US State Department spokesman Ned Price said Thursday’s attack in Israel appears to be the latest in a series of heinous terrorist attacks that have rocked Israel in recent weeks.
