US Open 2020: Novak Djokovic to begin his campaign against Jumhur. The top seed Djokovic in the world number one and tournament won the title by defeating Dominic Thiem in the final of the Australian Open in the first Grand Slam tournament of the year and this year their record has gone 21–0 (win-loss). He can also face Thiem in the finals of this tournament.

Five-time winner Roger Federer of Switzerland and defending winner Rafael Nadal have withdrawn from the tournament due to injury and Covid-19. Thiem is seeded second in the tournament and will begin his campaign against Philipp Krajinovic of Serbia. Last year’s runners-up Denil Medvedev and Stephanos Sitsipas have been seeded third and fourth respectively.

British player Andy Murray will play the first Grand Slam tournament after a hip surgery. He played the previous Grand Slam tournament as Australian Open-2019. He will play against Yoshihito Nishioka in the first round. At the same time, Carolina Pliskova of the Czech Republic is seeded top after the six women players withdrew from the tournament in the top-10 rankings and will face Ukraine’s Anhelina Kalina in the first round.

American veteran Serena Williams will begin her journey in the tournament against compatriot Christie Ahan. At the same time, Indian player Sumit Nagal will play against American player Bradley Klan in the first round and if he wins this match, he will face Dominic Thiem in the next round.
