US & Taliban agreement: both sides agreed on 21 issues related to peace talks, President Office said deadlock persisted.

Interlocutors associated with the inter-Afghanistan peace talks have given a positive response. Negotiators on both sides have said that on November 15, the Taliban and the Afghan government have agreed on 21 issues.

Taliban spokesperson Mohammad Naeem tweeted that on November 15, 2020, the two sides agreed on 21 issues and it was finalized.

Tolo News reported that talks have been a success this week. It states that both sides have committed to the US-Taliban Agreement, the United Nations Afghan peace process.

Both sides have agreed to join it. However, the President’s Office has denied the report of the Taliban, which has agreed to the peace talks. President Office has said that the deadlock on peace talks still persists.
