US will not recognize Taliban government in Afghanistan, Taliban announced after Doha talks.

After the talks between the US and the Taliban in Doha on Sunday, a big statement of the Taliban has come to the fore.

After the end of the Doha talks, it has been said on behalf of the Taliban that the US has agreed to help Afghanistan in this meeting, but it will not recognize the Taliban government.

The US official held meetings with senior Taliban officials in Doha, Qatar, on Saturday and Sunday. It was the first such meeting since the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan in August.

International media have reported that after talks in Qatar, the Taliban announced that the US would not formally recognize the Taliban but would provide humanitarian aid to Afghanistan.

The Doha talks were the first one-on-one meeting between senior Taliban representatives and a US delegation since US troops withdrew from Afghanistan in late August.

Citing the statement, the Taliban said that their discussions were good.

Hill reported that the Taliban statement said the US agreed to provide humanitarian aid to Afghanistan, while the Taliban also said they would facilitate the in-principle movement of foreign nationals.

A State Department spokesman said on Saturday that one of America’s key priorities was to continue the safe return of Americans and other foreign nationals and Afghans from Afghanistan, to whom we have a special commitment to anyone who wants to leave the country.

Islamic State militants have intensified attacks against the group, ethnic and religious minorities since the Taliban came to power.

A US official said on Friday that talks in Doha, Qatar, will focus on a commitment from Afghan Taliban leaders to allow the American people, foreign nationals and Afghan allies who have been supportive of the US government and military to leave Afghanistan.

Tolo News reported that these women demanded female representation in the caretaker government of the Taliban and said they would continue to demonstrate.
