USA MP Pramila Jayapal received death threats and she has been threatened and asked to go to her own country.

Recently, there have been cases of hate speech against people of Indian origin in America. Now Indian-American lawmaker Pramila Jayapal has also received threats.

The MP has given this information on social media. She told that she has received objectionable messages on the phone.

Indian-American Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal has said that she has been receiving derogatory and hate messages on the phone.

She is being asked to go to India. Jaipal has shared five audio messages on social media.

In the audio message, a man is threatening Jaipal to go to his country. She also threatens to face dire consequences if she does not do so.

The MP tweeted, ‘I shared these messages here because we cannot accept violence as a new normal for us.’

Let us tell you that 55-year-old Indian-American lawmaker Pramila Jayapal is the first Indian-American woman lawmaker to represent Seattle in the US House of Representatives.

The first one has also received death threats.

Pramila Jayapal has received death threats in the past as well. In late July, the man was arrested on charges of obscene talk and threats to the MP.

The floods have killed about 1,350 people across the country and have submerged a third of Pakistan since early June.

The US$160 million sought by the Pakistan government will provide food, water, emergency education, security, and health assistance to 5.2 million people.
