Various Organizations Came Out In Support Of Kashmiri Pandits
Various organizations came out in support of Kashmiri Pandits, ongoing efforts to intensify the movement.
The displaced Kashmiri Pandits, who have been agitating for the last several months for an increase in the monthly relief amount, are now getting the support of various organizations.
Congress leaders have already given their support. Now Shiv Sena has also come out in support of these displaced people.
However, the ongoing movement in Jagti for Haq has now crossed 300 days. But with the support of various organizations, a new communication has been created among the displaced Kashmiri Pandits.
They too have started holding meetings to further sharpen their movement. Now thinking of taking Jagti’s sit-in protest to Jammu city.
Shadi Lal Pandita, head of the Jagati Tenement Committee, says that even after the long dharna, the central government did not listen to the voices of the displaced Kashmiri Pandits.
But now the satisfaction is that the voice of the displaced Kashmiri Pandits is getting stronger as the support of a dozen different organizations has been received.
The government will have to fulfill the demands of the displaced one day.
RK Tikku, who is actively participating in the ongoing agitation in Jagati, says that at present the government provides monthly cash relief of Rs 13,000 per displaced family.
But now I could not survive on this amount. Inflation has increased a lot.
That’s why we demand that the relief amount should be increased to 25 thousand rupees. This is a perfectly valid demand. But the government does not want to pay any attention to it.
Now we are getting the strength of various organizations, so in the coming times, the movement against the government will intensify.
Tikku said that we will ask the government to take us out of the realm of displacement.
One member of every displaced Kashmiri Pandit family should be given a government job so that these people will be able to take care of their families.
