Hundreds of supporters and opponents of the Eritrean government clashed with each other and Israeli police in violent clashes on Saturday.

The clash has seen one of the most dangerous confrontations between African asylum seekers and migrants in Tel Aviv’s recent history.

Fighting broke out in the Israeli capital Tel Aviv on Saturday when hundreds of Eritreans critical of their government descended on the site of a pro-government event.
