Violent protests against the killing of 2 Tamils ​​in Myanmar, angry people set fire to a military post in Manipur.

In protest against the killing of two Tamils ​​in Myanmar, some people from the Moreh area of ​​Manipur entered the neighboring country and set a small army post on fire.

After this, the authorities increased the security system in the border city. Officials gave this information on Thursday.

Officials said that additional personnel of local police and paramilitary forces have been deployed at Moreh in the Tengnoupal district.

The prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code have been imposed from Wednesday.

Tribal Affairs Minister Letpao Haokip said, “The Manipur government is making all efforts to bring back the bodies of the two Tamils.

We are waiting for the governments of India and Myanmar to make arrangements to bring back the bodies.

Violent protests against the killing of 2 Tamils: Citizens of Manipur were shot dead in Myanmar.

In Moreh, auto-rickshaw drivers P Mohan (28) and Ayana (35) were shot dead by unidentified people in Tamu city of Myanmar. The city is situated at a distance of two kilometers from the international border.

A large number of people from Moreh walked a few meters inside Myanmar on Wednesday afternoon and set the border post on fire.

The anger of the people was that the administration has failed to return the bodies of both the people killed in Tamu city.

According to the protesters, both had gone from Moreh to Tamu to attend the birthday party of their acquaintance. He told that their bodies are still in Tamu’s hospital.

The city of Moreh is home to a large number of Tamil people, descendants of families that were forced to leave Myanmar during the political turmoil decades ago.

Those people are mainly engaged in small businesses.
