Vivek Tankha Said Few Things After The CWC Meeting

Vivek Tankha said after the infighting in the CWC meeting, ‘We are not the antagonists, but the bearers of change’. The Congress Working Committee (CWC) met on Monday for about 7 hours through video conferencing. In this meeting, a situation of arrogance was also created due to a letter written by Sonia Gandhi from 23 Congress leaders.

Now on Tuesday, Rajya Sabha member Vivek Tankha has given a statement in this matter. He says that the leader who signed the letter is not an opponent but he is the carrier of change.

Among these 23 leaders are Tankha, who wrote a letter to Sonia Gandhi. Rajya Sabha member Vivek Tankha tweeted on Tuesday, saying, ‘Friends, we are not adversaries, but are the carriers of change. The letter was not intended to challenge the party leadership. Rather it is a hallmark to strengthen the party. The universal truth is the best defense, whether it is a court or public affairs.

History accepts the brave, not the cowards. Let us know that a letter written by Congress leaders to Sonia Gandhi came out on Sunday. This is the first time in the history of the Congress that when senior leaders of the party wrote a letter to the interim president Sonia Gandhi, demanding a major change in the Congress.

This demand was made by 23 top Congress leaders. These included Vivek Tankha as well as 5 former Chief Ministers, MPs like Shashi Tharoor, members of Congress Working Committee, and all former Union Ministers. They say that by making major changes in the party, Congress should be saved from harm.

This letter was sent about two weeks ago. Through the letter, big leaders have demanded a ‘full-time and effective leadership’, which can be seen on the ground and be active. At the same time, it has also been called for the immediate establishment of collective leadership mechanisms collectively for the revival of the party.

Some senior Congress leaders including Kapil Sibal, Shashi Tharoor, who wrote letters to Congress Working Committee (CWC) after a debate on a letter written to Sonia Gandhi to reform the organization, also held a meeting at the residence of Ghulam Nabi Azadi on Monday evening .

Sources said that Mukul Wasnik and Manish Tiwari along with some other leaders who signed the letter also attended this meeting held in the national capital. Sources said that no leader agreed to comment on his views. This meeting was held a little after the end of the CWC meeting. Of the 23 leaders who signed the letter, only a few are members of the CWC.

The proposal was passed to strengthen the Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in every possible way in the meeting of the CWC, the decision making body of the party which lasted for seven hours. It was also clarified that no one will be allowed to weaken or undermine the party leadership.
