Weapons including six ‘sticky’ bombs recovered from the terrorist hideout in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri.
A cache of arms and ammunition, including six sticky bombs, has been recovered from a hideout of terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district. The police gave this information on Monday.
In a remote village in Reasi district, people caught Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Talib Hussain Shah and his accomplice Faisal Ahmed Dar and handed them over to the police, a police official said.
After which Shah gave information about their whereabouts.
According to news in the news agency, a police officer said that during interrogation Shah gave information about the whereabouts of terrorists in Draj village of Rajouri.
After which a raid was conducted and the whereabouts were busted.
Weapons including six ‘sticky’ bombs recovered: Six sticking bombs, one pistol, three pistol magazines, and pistol cartridges.
One Under Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL), three UBGL grenades, 75 cartridges of AK assault rifle, and one IED with antenna, the police official said.
It is noteworthy that Shah and his Kashmiri companion Dar were cleverly disarmed by some local people, after which both were arrested in Tuksan Dhok.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh praised the courage of the villagers and announced a cash reward for them.
However, after Shah’s capture, a verbal war broke out between the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress in Jammu and Kashmir.
He is said to be an active member of the BJP, who was recently elected in charge of the IT and social media cell of the party’s minority front in Jammu province.
Soon after the news of Shah and Dar being apprehended by villagers and handed over to the police, photographs of Shah purportedly with BJP leaders and his participation in party functions were shared on social media.
In one of these pictures, BJP’s Jammu and Kashmir unit chief Ravinder Raina is seen giving her a bouquet.
Whereas in another, in a letter issued by party leader Sheikh Bashir, he has been given the responsibility of the new in-charge of IT and social media of Minority Morcha (Jammu province) on May 9.
