Will BSY soak discontent? Hectic lobbying in progress in Karnataka BJP for Rajya Sabha Tickets. Disappointed BJP MLA Umesh Katti met Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa for the second sequential day on Thursday and is said to have looked for a ticket for his sibling Ramesh Katti.

With the terms of four Rajya Sabha individuals’ reaching a conclusion term on June 25, frenzied campaigning is in progress in the state BJP camp for tickets, will BSY soak discontent. Senior Party Leader and MLA Umesh Katti met Chief Minister  BS Yediyurappa for the second continuous day on Thursday and is said to have looked for a ticket for his sibling Ramesh Katti who went with him to the meeting.

The seat that Katti is looking at is that of sitting MP Prabhakar Kore, who also is hopeful. Katti, an eight-time MLA is one of the displeased leaders in the party and will BSY be able to keep party folk together needed to be seen

Rather, MLAs who deserted from the Congress and Janata Dal (secular) who helped the BJP return to control last July have been compensated by Yediyurappa. The decision camp is relied upon to settle the names during a center council meeting on Saturday. Theories are overflowing the gathering may consider the candidatures of Tejaswini Ananthkumar, widow of previous Bengaluru south MP Ananth Kumar and Sudha Murty, social activist, and essayist.

Notwithstanding Kore’s seat, two from the Congress – Rajeev Gowda and BK Hariprasad – and one from the JD(S) – Kupendra Reddy – – will fall empty. From the Congress, senior leaders like Mallikarjun Kharge, Veerappa Moily, and KH Muniyappa are plausible applicants. Hariprasad too is a wannabe. Notwithstanding, standing and network computations would come into the dynamic procedure, said a source in the gathering.

From the JD(S), the party leadership is pushing for HD Devegowda to challenge in spite of the fact that he had expressed that he would stop discretionary governmental issues following his annihilation in the last Lok Sabha elections and this may then be viewed as an indirect access section to Parliament. “He isn’t enthusiastic about challenging as a result of it. He wouldn’t like to. Be that as it may, the party workers need him to challenge. We have no different names,” said a source inside the JD(S).

The BJP, with its current strength in the Legislative Assembly, Get together – 117 of the 225 MLAs – can win two of the four seats. Decisions would be hung on June 19 and tallying of votes would be done after 5 pm around the same time.
