Women Commandos Rescued An Elderly Person From Naxalites

Women commandos rescued an elderly person from the clutches of Naxalites. The elderly couple, who were injured in a pressure bomb blast by Maoists on Friday morning while going to their daughter’s home, found treatment after 12 hours.

The elderly Hyunga had somehow reached Suranar but his wife Kosi was captured by the Naxalites. Dantewada SP Dr. Abhishek Pallava said that the women commandos bravely took out the elderly woman Kosi.

Walked eight kilometers on the cot

Naxalites kept taking eight to ten houses to hide the old lady, but the woman Commando managed to rescue them. He was rushed to the Dantewada District Hospital by ambulance at ten o’clock on Friday night.

The women commandos who rescued the elderly woman from the Naxalites are Laxmi and Vimala, a surrendered Naxalite, and are now commandos in the District Reserve Guard (DRG). They had diffused the IED two days ago.

Then-Governor Anusuiya Uike and Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel also praised him.

As per the developments on Friday morning, elderly couple Hyunga and Kosi, a resident of Koripara of Gudse village in Katekalyan block of Dantewada district, were injured in the pressure of a pressure bomb in the forest of Telam Poojaripara while leaving their daughter.

If both were not found at the scene and did not reach the village, both were being suspected of being held captive by the Naxalites. Hyunga had fewer injuries, while Kosi suffered severe injuries from shrapnel in his legs, chest, and face.

Women commandos showed understanding

Being naxal-sensitive, the police was not entering the forest in search of the couple. At six o’clock on Friday evening, 180 DRG jawans left for Suranar in Telam Tatum.

Women commandos Lakshmi Kashyap and Vimala Mandavi, taking advantage of being local, discussed rural women and took them into confidence and discovered Kosi.

After this, the old lady lying on the cot crossed the hilly and wooded road for about eight km from village Suranar to Tumkapal road and reached the road. From there, an ambulance was taken to the hospital. Doctors report Kosi’s condition out of danger.
