Yeddyurappa Presented The Eighth Budget Of Karnataka

Yeddyurappa presented the eighth budget of Karnataka, no new tax, announces the construction of Yatri Niwas in Ayodhya, Goshala in every district.

Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa presented the state budget for the year 2021-22 in the state assembly on Monday. He also has a finance ministry. No new tax has been imposed on the budget.

The special thing is that it has also announced the opening of Goshalas in every district of the state and the construction of Yatri Niwas in Ayodhya for the pilgrims visiting Ramlala from the state.

Yeddyurappa, while presenting the budget, said – 10 crores allocated for construction of Yatri Niwas in Ayodhya.

Presenting a budget of around Rs 2.5 lakh crore, Yeddyurappa announced an allocation of Rs 10 crore for the construction of the Yatri Niwas in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.

This announcement has been made in the budget at a time when the grand Ram temple is being constructed in Ayodhya and the Uttar Pradesh government has assured to give a five-acre plot to the Karnataka government on its own.

A provision of Rs 7,795 crore in the budget for the development of Bengaluru.

The Chief Minister has made a provision of Rs 7,795 crore in the budget for the development of Bengaluru.

These development projects include peripheral ring roads, speeding up the implementation of suburban rail projects, doubling of rail lines, construction of tree parks, and automated ticketing system.

These announcements have significant importance in the budget in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s advice to increase connectivity in the city.

Chief Minister became more appreciative of women on International Women’s Day.

In this budget presented on International Women’s Day, a lot of provisions have been made for women. These include a proposal for a six-month child care leave for government women employees.

Also, several schemes have been announced in the budget to encourage women entrepreneurs.

Chief Minister said- no new tax was imposed in the budget.

The Chief Minister said that the state government levies Karnataka Sales Tax (KST) on petrol and diesel, which is already much lower than other states of the south.

Despite this, no new tax has been imposed in the budget and the budget has been prepared in such a way that no additional tax burden is increased on the common man.

Yeddyurappa said- due to Corona, the GSDP of the state decreased by 2.6%, a decline in the agriculture sector.

Yeddyurappa has presented a total of eight budgets in the state assembly so far.

He said that the state’s gross state domestic product (GSDP) during the current financial year due to the coronavirus epidemic has come down by 2.6 percent to a fixed price as per the initial estimate.

During this period, while the agriculture sector of the state registered a decline of 6.4 percent, the industry and services sector has declined.

The industry sector recorded a decline of 5.1 percent and the services sector by 3.1 percent in the year 2020-21.
