Forged stamp paper racket busted in Bengaluru, banned stamp paper worth 2.71 crores seized from four people. The Bangalore Police has uncovered a forged stamp paper racket and seized banned stamp papers worth Rs 2.71 crore from four people.
The four were arrested in this connection on Saturday. According to the police, they have been identified as Hasan Modi Babu alias ‘Chhota Telgi’ resident of Vivek Nagar and Harish Subbaraya, resident of Basaveesjwara Nagar.
The other two accused are Shawar alias Seema and Najma Fatima. Both of them are employed as typists near the city’s revenue building.
West Bengaluru city Additional Commissioner of Police Soumendu Mukherjee said that Hassain Modi knows Babu as his associate Chhota Telgi.
