Administration Engaged In Managing Amarnath Yatra

Administration engaged in managing six lakh Baba Amarnath Yatra devotees. Administration in Jammu and Kashmir is busy preparing for the Baba Amarnath Yatra. Six lakh devotees are expected to visit this year.

The journey starts on 28 June. Chief Secretary BVR Subramaniam reviewed the arrangements for the yatra.

He stressed making Baba Amarnath Yatra safe, smooth, especially providing security and facilities from Jammu Srinagar National Highway, Pahalgam, and Baltal routes to the holy cave.

He told the officials that arrangements should be made keeping in mind the expectation of the arrival of six lakh devotees.

During this time arrangements should also be made to take full care of the weather. The Chief Secretary directed the Divisional Commissioners of Jammu and Kashmir to monitor arrangements on the travel routes.

Proper arrangements should be made for the stay of the passengers in Kathua, Samba, Jammu, Udhampur, Ramban, Anantnag, Srinagar, Baltal, and Chandanwadi.

The administration engaged in managing Amarnath yatra: On average, arrangements should be made to accommodate 1.22 lakh passengers in these districts.

Adequate facilities should be available in transit camps. The process of applying for the journeys should begin in the first week of April.

Registration for travel, preparation for security arrangements. Advance registration of the journey lasting about two months will start from April 1.

This time there will be more than 100 anchors for the journey. The anchors have applied. Now they are just waiting for approval.

One in Doda in Jammu and Kashmir, five in Jammu, two in Kathua, one in Poonch, one in Ramban, one in Rajouri, two in Reasi, one in Samba, one in Srinagar, one in Udhampur, and one in the bank branch in Leh.

Registration is arranged. Registration has been arranged in a total of 446 branches of Jammu Kashmir Bank, Punjab National Bank, and Yes Banks.

DDC re-polling will take place only after the annual Amarnath Yatra at Draghmula-Hajin.

Re-polling in two constituencies of Dragmula and Hajin-e in Kupwara and Bandipore in North Kashmir will now be held only after 31 March 2021.

The voting is likely to take place after the conclusion of Shri Amarnath’s annual pilgrimage 2021. The concerned officials said that at the Election Building here today.

State Election Commissioner KK Sharma called a meeting on the issue of repatriation in Dragmula of Kupwara district and Hajin-e DDC constituency of Bandipore.

Divisional Kashmir District Deputy Commissioner Kupwara and Bandipore participated in it through video conference.
