Andhra Gas Leak Incident: Gas Leak In Brandix’s Premises

Andhra gas leak incident: Toxic gas leak in a chemical company in Anakapalle district of Andhra Pradesh, and 121 people were hospitalized.

So far 121 people have fallen ill due to a poisonous gas leak at a company’s plant located in the Brandix area of ​​Achutapuram in the Anakapalle district of Andhra Pradesh.

Among the sick people, the number of women working in the plant is high. The gas leak reportedly happened at Brandix’s premises.

The employees fled the company due to panic. Some women employees were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

According to the agency, Minister of State G. Amarnath said – ‘121 workers have been affected so far, they are being treated in various hospitals.

The seed company where the gas leak was reported for the second time in two months has been closed till the investigation is completed. The cause of the incident is being ascertained.

Orders were given for a high-level inquiry into the incident.

On the gas leak incident in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh Industries Minister Gudivada Amarnath said- A high-level inquiry has been ordered into the incident.

The samples have been sent to ICMR for further testing. It is yet to be determined whether the incident was a deliberate act.

Anakapalle District Medical and Health Officer Hemant said, “At present people are admitted to the hospital. All have been examined and their condition is stable.”

They are undergoing treatment. He further added that most of the patients complained of difficulty in breathing, nausea, and vomiting.

According to reports, around 50 people were admitted to the hospital after they fell ill on the spot due to the gas that leaked on Tuesday.

SP Anakapalli said, “A gas leak reportedly took place at Brandix’s premises. People have been shifted to hospitals and evacuation is being done on the premises. Awaiting more details.’

Earlier in June, around 178 female workers fell ill after a gas leak at a laboratory in the Achutapuram area of ​​Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

Later more patients were admitted to the hospital for treatment.
